Our 100 th
Colorado School of Mines was still relatively young, just under 50 years old, when they decided to expand the degrees offered to include Petroleum Engineering. The department was launched in fall of 1921 with the first students graduating with a PE degree in spring 1922. We are having a blast exploring our past, celebrating the present and preparing for the future in recognition of reaching the 100 year milestone.
